2020 HOMECOMING CAR PARADE

CAR DECORATING CONTEST

 

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2020 AT 4:30PM

ALL UHS STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE

 

Route: Start at Bank of America, RIGHT on RT 80, RIGHT on Campus Drive, RIGHT on 355, Cross over Rt. 80, go around circle at Sugarloaf Pkwy, drive down Worthington Blvd (go by Giant and Library), and RIGHT into Urbana District Park.

 

• All participating cars should meet at the Bank of America parking lot.

• Students are encouraged to wear their UHS spirit wear, jerseys, uniforms, themed outfit or SENIOR 2021 t-shirts.

• Social distancing rules MUST be followed at all times. Students, drivers and passengers should stay in vehicles upon arrival to the Bank. All cars will be directed where to line up AND will be provided with an identifying marker if participating in the car decorating contest judged by UHS teachers and staff.

• PARADE WILL BEGIN AT 5PM and our junior HAWKS poms, cheerleaders and football players will be invited to line Worthington Blvd with Hawk Posters for a fun and spirited PARADE route.

• ALL STUDENTS must remain seated in the vehicles at all times while the cars are in motion. NO standing with their heads/bodies out of the sunroof and NO riding in the back of open pick-up type trucks.

• Families are encouraged to decorate their vehicle appropriately with UHS HAWK and TEAM pride.

• There should be NO stopping or parking at the school. 

• Spectators, families and friends...there is plenty of parking at the Giant and the Library which are both located on Worthington Blvd.

 **Please practice social distancing while on the parade route.**

• PLEASE make signs and cheer for our very own URBANA HAWKS!!

• Volunteers will be taking photographs and YEARBOOK staff will be on hand!

• ALL CARS MUST FOLLOW THE LAWS OF THE ROAD. STOP AT RED LIGHTS AND TRAVEL AT A SAFE SPEED.
